KI·NE·SIS

/kəˈnēsis/

movement; motion

Pain or injuries can cause faulty movement patterns. With thorough questioning and physical examination, I identify areas of impaired movement in order to create a customized treatment plan. When healthy kinesis is restored, your symptoms and pain improve.

Kristina Lagana, PT, DPT

B.S Kinesiology, Cal Poly SLO, 2006
M.S. Physical Therapy, UCSF/SFSU, 2008
Doctorate of Physical Therapy, UCSF/SFSU, 2009

I am an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor, have completed a year-long manual therapy course specializing in Maitland techniques, and have advanced training in KinesioTape application. My specialties include pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, sports medicine and rehabilitation, and manual therapy techniques.

My main objective is to return patients to their highest level of function with the least amount of pain. I believe in combining therapeutic exercise, hands-on techniques, and modalities to develop an individualized program to meet each patient’s specific goals. Patient education is important to me, so each patient is given the knowledge to help manage their own condition during and after treatment.

When I'm not working, I enjoy running, playing golf with my husband, and hanging out with our two Labradors, Boomer and Rocky.
